Our History
From Passion to Purpose: How Two Students Sparked a Movement in Aerospace at INSA Lyon
Founded in 2023 by two international students, Tanish and Anusha, at INSA Lyon, our association was born from a shared passion for aviation and a drive to create something meaningful. As students in the Bachelor of Aeronautics and Materials Engineering (IBMMAE), they envisioned a platform that would connect like-minded peers and bring aerospace to life beyond the classroom.
When they discovered the EUROAVIA international network, they saw the perfect opportunity — and took action to establish a local chapter in Lyon. Today, their vision continues to grow, inspiring students and shaping future leaders in aerospace.

✈️ Build bridges through the EUROAVIA network
🛠️ Promote Hands-On Learning
Through workshops, industry visits, and competitions, we encourage real-world experience in aerospace and engineering.
🌍 Inspire Future Leaders
Our Vision
We envision a community where future engineers collaborate, innovate, and lead with confidence on the global stage. Our goal is to become a driving force in shaping the next generation of aerospace and technology leaders.
Our Mission
We aim to empower students by providing hands-on engineering experiences through industry exposure, technical projects, and international competitions. Our mission is to bridge the gap between academic learning and real-world application.
2024–2025: The Year That Defined Us
This year marked a turning point — we shifted from a founding team to a thriving, connected community. Through recruitment drives, events, and collaborative projects, we brought together passionate students from diverse backgrounds who now form the heart of EUROAVIA Lyon.
Hosting the EMEAC Congress
We proudly hosted the Electoral Meeting of the EUROAVIA Congress (EMEAC) — a prestigious event that brought delegates from across Europe to Lyon. Organizing such a high-level conference not only elevated our visibility in the international network but also showcased our professionalism, hospitality, and dedication. It also allowed us to become a permanent Affiliated society in the EUROAVIA Network.

A Year of Victories and Growth
Our team didn’t just participate — we made our mark. We achieved multiple wins in technical competitions, pushing the boundaries of our engineering skills and demonstrating the talent and determination of our members. These achievements positioned us as a rising force in the EUROAVIA community.
What’s Next: Eyes on the Sky
As we look ahead, we’re preparing for our most ambitious project yet — the Air Cargo Challenge 2026, where we’ll proudly compete as the first French team in the competition’s history. We are currently designing and building a high-performance remote-controlled aircraft to take on this international engineering challenge.
This isn’t just about winning — it’s about representing France on a global stage and proving what passionate students can achieve together. To make this vision a reality, we are actively seeking support from sponsors, partners, and the wider community. Join us in lifting French student aviation to new heights.
